DigitalSolutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) develops the mobile applications listed below (each, an “App”). This single Privacy Policy applies to all of them. Jump to the app you’re using for its specific data practices; the sections after that apply to all of our Apps.
- Team Generator (com.digitalsolutions.teamgenerator)
- Digital Recorder (com.digitalsolutions.digitalrecorder)
- Frequency Display (com.digitalsolutions.frequency)
Team Generator
Team Generator lets you pick people from your phone’s contacts as “players” and randomly splits them into teams.
Contacts. With your permission (the Android Contacts permission), the App lets you pick people from your device’s contacts. For each contact you add as a player, the App stores their name, a reference to their photo, and their internal contact ID in a local database on your device, used only to display your player list and generate teams. This data is not uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party, and is removed when you delete the player in the App or uninstall it. You can revoke the Contacts permission at any time in Settings; the App will then be unable to add new players from your contacts, and photos may stop loading.
Advertising. The App shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP address, and general device/usage information to serve and measure ads. Where required (e.g., users in the EEA/UK), a consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) is shown first so you can control ad personalization.
Analytics and crash data. The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for usage insights and crash diagnostics — see “Analytics and Crash Reporting” below.
What it doesn’t collect. Your contacts and player list never leave your device, and we do not receive or store payment card details. The App does not use your precise location. The optional free trial, described below, is the only feature that asks you to sign in.
Premium. The App offers an optional one-time “Premium” purchase (no ads and extra groups), processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Google handles the transaction, and you can review Google’s handling of payment data in the Google Play Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Free trial. If you start the optional 30-day free trial of Premium, you sign in once with your Google account through Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In). We receive your Google account ID, email address and name, and a hashed device identifier, and store a trial record (start time, account ID, hashed device ID) in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity are used to verify that requests come from the genuine app. This information is used only to provide the trial and to prevent it from being used more than once on the same account or device. It is not shared with anyone else. You can ask us to delete it at any time; see “Delete your data” below. You can use the App without ever signing in.
Digital Recorder
Digital Recorder is a voice recording app.
Microphone. With your permission (the Android Microphone permission), the App records audio you choose to record. Recordings are saved locally on your device only — either in the App’s private storage or, depending on your storage setting, in the public Music/Digital Recorder folder — and are never automatically uploaded to us or any third party. A recording only leaves your device if you explicitly share it yourself (e.g., via Android’s Share menu to email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.), which is your action, not ours.
Storage permission. On older Android versions the App uses storage access to save recording files to your device.
Purchases. The App offers an optional one-time “Premium” purchase, processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Google handles the transaction, and you can review Google’s handling of payment data in the Google Play Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Analytics and crash data. The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics — see below.
What it doesn’t collect. No contacts, no location, no ads/AdMob.
Frequency Display
Frequency Display measures the frequency of the sound picked up by your microphone and shows it as a number, a musical note and a live spectrum.
Microphone. With your permission (the Android Microphone permission), the App reads audio from the microphone to calculate its frequency and spectrum in real time. Audio is processed only in memory on your device; it is never recorded, saved, or sent to us or any third party.
Advertising. The App shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP address (used to estimate approximate location), and general device/usage information to serve and measure ads.
What it doesn’t collect. No account or sign-in, no audio recordings, no contacts, no precise location, and no Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. Your settings are stored only on your device.
Analytics and Crash Reporting (Team Generator and Digital Recorder)
Team Generator and Digital Recorder use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand usage and diagnose crashes. This may include device information, app interactions, and crash logs, associated with an app-instance identifier rather than your name or personal details.
Third-Party Services
Our Apps rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (Team Generator and Frequency Display) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing (Team Generator and Digital Recorder) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) (Team Generator and Digital Recorder) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity (Team Generator free trial only) — https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Data Storage and Security
App-specific data you create (Team Generator’s player list; Digital Recorder’s recordings) is stored locally on your device. Frequency Display does not store audio at all. We do not operate a server that stores your contacts, recordings, or player data. The only data we store on a server is the optional free-trial record described in the Team Generator section, kept in Google Firebase. Uninstalling an App permanently deletes its locally stored data.
Your Choices
- Team Generator: remove any player from within the App at any time; revoke the Contacts permission in Settings. The free trial is optional and you can use the App without signing in.
- Digital Recorder: delete recordings from within the App at any time; revoke the Microphone permission in Settings.
- Frequency Display: revoke the Microphone permission in Settings at any time; the App will then stop measuring sound.
- Where a consent form is shown (Team Generator, EEA/UK), you can change your ad-personalization consent by clearing the App’s data or reinstalling it, which re-triggers the consent flow.
- Uninstalling an App removes all of its locally stored data.
Delete your data
Team Generator free trial: to delete the Google account information we hold for your free trial (your account ID, email address and name), email mxdigitalsolutions@gmail.com from the Google account you used to sign in, or name that account in your message, and we will delete it within 30 days. To prevent a free trial from being used more than once on the same device, we keep a record of the hashed device identifier and the date the trial was claimed. It contains no account ID, email address or name, and after deletion it is no longer linked to you.
Everything else you create in the Apps (Team Generator’s player list; Digital Recorder’s recordings) is stored only on your device. You can delete it in the App or by uninstalling it.
Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of our Apps, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because our Apps store your data (contacts, recordings) only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly within each App or by uninstalling it. For the free-trial account data, see “Delete your data” above. For data collected by AdMob, Play Billing, or Firebase, see the linked third-party policies above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date, and will apply to all Apps listed above.
